This is the slogan from the Kubb World Championships and has been adopted by just about every Kubb club world wide. Naturally Lake Superior Kubb also adopts this slogan as it resonates perfectly with our mission to spread Kubb in our hometowns (Superior, WI and Duluth, MN) in the Twin Ports.
Kubb is a SPORT originating from Scandinavia where opponents compete in marathon style tournaments that test not only their skill in game play, but also challenges their physical and mental endurance to be able to maintain their skill level throughout the competition in order to lock a place on the podium. During this test of endurance and skills, some players even have to drop from the competition due to injuries and fatigue.

The sport takes place on a small rectangular playing field, known as a pitch. Kubbs are placed at both ends of the pitch, and the king, a larger wooden block, is placed in the middle of the pitch. The ultimate objective of the sport is to knock over the kubbs on the opposing side of the pitch, and then to knock over the king, before your opponent does. Games can last from five minutes to well over an hour. The game can be played on a variety of surfaces such as grass, sand, concrete, snow, or even ice.
